Spire Centre
The Spire Centre has received a full makeover, making the building accessible for all. The work include new toilets and floor levels creating a safer user friendly environment.
The building will be ideal to hire for local community groups, courses, children's birthday parties and business meetings.
The Spire Centre is our hall across the road from the main church. It can be hired at a reasonable rate. If you'd like to know more about booking a room or using our venue then please contact us

What’s included in the hire rate, are there any extra charges?
Set-up and clear-away time
Hire rate includes 20 minutes either side of your slot – please ensure your booking allows you sufficient time beyond this
Can I use the kitchen?
Basic use included (light refreshments); other use subject to agreement
How big is the hall?
The main hall’s dimensions are approximately: 15.8m by 5.5m
What is the seating capacity?
Maximum 50 people
How many chairs and tables are there?
10 large collapsible tables, each seating up to 6 people
9 small square tables and smaller tables if required.
35 fabric adult chairs.
5 smaller children’s tables
18 children’s chairs
Can I hold a party?
We are pleased to accommodate children’s parties (pre-school and primary age) to a maximum of 20 children, and other events and functions.
We do not hire the hall for 18th/21st etc parties.
Hirers are responsible for their own music, etc licensing where this might apply.
No confetti or similar glitter products
Alcohol is not Permitted.
Can I have a bouncy castle?
Yes, the bouncy castle would have to be 13ft or smaller
The hall size is 555 x 510cm (15.8m by 5.5m)
There is a charge of £10.
Can I prepare food at the hall?
Basic use of the kitchen is included, e.g., for light refreshments.
The kitchen has a fridge/freezer, oven, microwave and basic cooking items, crockery and cutlery. If you would like to prepare food more than light refreshments, there will be an additional £15.00 fee.
The hirer will be responsible for cleaning the kitchen and any items used.
Do I need to clean up afterwards?
We ask that you tidy and sweep the hall after your hire for the next user. More information is given to users along with the hire form.
What happens if there is any damage?
For occasional hires we take a refundable £25 deposit which will be retained in full or in part if needed to cover the cost of any damage, additional cleaning if the hall is left in an unacceptable condition, replacement keys etc.
If the cost of the damage is more than £25, the user will be charged for like-for-like replacements.
How do I pay?
Occasional hirers are required to pay by cash, cheque, or bank transfer, at the time of making their booking. If paying by on-line bank transfer, please include your name in the reference (e.g., ‘hall hire Bloggs’). Regular hirers need to pay by standing Order or bank transfer. Bank details are included on the hire form.
What happens if I need to cancel my booking?
Cancellations will be refunded up to 48 hours before your booking. There is no refund if you cancel within 48 hours of your booking.
